“Dr. Michael Gardyn kept me waiting almost an hour in a very cold room. I was 1st in the office. He took late patients before me, and said " their appointments were before yours." I asked if it was his policy to wait on all late patients before seeing the ones that were on time?" I got no response. He requested tests that he already had current results for, then recommended a non-holistic approach of cortisone shots, of which, when we discussed various options I.e., opioids, cortisone, I said that I had bad reactions. I requested holistic modalities such as massage, acupuncture, a back brace, etc. But he kept insisting on an MRI. My surgeon questioned this additional MRI since a current one had been sent to Dr Gardyn. It was determined a week ago that he "didn't see" the date of the MRI,( even though I was in his office reviewing the results and I told him when the tests were done). All this over a span of 3 months and not one thing has been done! I still can't walk and my healthcare was delayed terribly by this Dr. I was the only African American there. Did this have anything to do with the level of care I experienced? Maybe. There is a definite difference in healthcare treatment in the Baltimore area vs other areas. There is no respect to patients' rights here. The patients are expected to comply rather than question. I changed facilities and hope that no one else signs on to a Dr who shows no compassion or empathy and completely ignores patient' current test results, statements and concerns. I do thank Nancy for all her kindness and efforts in communicating with this Dr and with Cigna and my surgeon's office. If I could do a zero star, that would be most appropriate.”

“I moved here from Ohio at the end of 2015. I have chronic pain due to my disease. I was referred to Baltimore Pain Management Center and was seen within 10 days of my first call. Every month, starting in January 2016, I go to my appointment and am always greeted with smiles from the women working. I would make special reference to Teresa and Rachel. They are both very friendly and professional and are never too busy to schedule my appointments around my difficult schedule. I have been seen now 4 times. Each time by Physician's Assistant Neela Parrish. She always treats me with respect. She listens to me and accurately types in my information right in front of me so I know that it is correct. I am 51 years old and deal with many medical issues and problems. When I leave my appointment I am always more positive than when I walked in. I would recommend this Pain Clinic to everyone. It is very clean and pleasant and hold close to your scheduled time. Each appointment has been between 30-45 minutes, in and out the door. I am definitely more than comfortable being seen by a P.A. in this Clinic. Neela Parrish is an amazing, professional Dr.in my eyes. 5 Stars here...for sure.”
