Patient Testimonials

The only issue i have is with the wait time before you are called back. 2 hours in the waiting room is beyond ridiculous. They pull you back and do your vitals then send you back to the waiting room until they get a room for you. The poor staff doesn't even get to leave on time because the doctor is so far behind. Whoever decides on how to do the schedules needs to take a course on managing the books to keep patient flow steady and patients happy. Everyone in the office is super nice though.

A pain clinic is not like a regular doctor's office, so expectations matter. You'll need a referral--no primary care doctor will send you here first, because pain clinics are where you're deciding between injections and surgery. Most specialists know when it's time and will refer you. And you will not get pain meds on your first visit. What you will get is the most thorough review you've ever had. My appointment was with Dr. Bryan Covert at the Warner Robins clinic. When you walk in, surgery check-in is to the right, doctors' office to the left. You can sign in at a kiosk or with the phenomenal front desk staff. Trunique, in particular, impressed me. She was calmly juggling multiple patients in person and on the phone, solving problems without ever appearing flustered. Even when a call dropped, she called the patient back to make sure they were helped. That level of professionalism is rare. Once called back, the nurse reviewed my paperwork and explained the process. Then Dr. Covert came in and spent two full hours with me--reviewing my MRI, history, and answering every question. Each time I asked something, he paused, gave me his full attention, and only moved on when I was ready. We went through all treatment options, from simple to surgical. I shared my concerns about surgery due to family history, and he reassured me that I was far from that stage and had many options. His recommendation was to start with an epidural cortisone injection, which was scheduled promptly. The surgery center itself is also well-run: efficient check-in, paperwork ready, short wait times, and staff that move quickly without making you feel rushed. The entire process feels like you are heard and cared for. I would recommend Axis without hesitation. Dr. Covert is exceptionally thorough and compassionate, and the staff go above and beyond to make the process smooth. If you need this kind of specialist, this is where you want to be.

I couldn't ask for a better Specialist than Axis Spine and Pain, with Dr. VJ, NP Summer and nursing staff. They're very much hands-on with genuine care and concern, about the best approach in the regime for my medical care. Thank you ALL! Merry Christmas! God Bless!

All employees and staff are very personable. Dr. Covert took time to review my case and do an exam before making a plan. He explained everything very thoroughly.
