Patient Testimonials
“I saw a PA that works under her who minipulated and misled me about suboxone in an effort to get me to consider going on it, even after I said I would never take methadone or anything like it again due to the extreme physically addictive properties. I told her I was forced onto it and she said she didn't need to hear that. She said it wasn't methadone but failed to mention it was very much like methadone with the same extremely physically addictive properties and severe withdraw symptoms if you go off of it, which include severe vomiting, severe diarrhea, severely intensified pain, the jitters, and more. A nurse said this doctor who the PA's all work under, transitions all her patients onto it. Totally unacceptable. The PA said my back looked great and I said no it doesn't. She read a image report, but somehow missed where it said advanced narrowing of the disk, and sloghtly less in another, which I pulled the report up and showed the nurse where it even said that, after saying it didn't indicate I was bone on bone which I am, and is why my former pain specialist, an orthopedic surgeon sent me to OHSU for it. The neurosurgeon there confirmed it. She also somewhat dismissed the moderate scoliosis both top and bottom of my spine. My spine is shaped like an S, and it is known to also cause serious pain. Not happy with the outcome of my visit. I messaged my doctor about it because I was so upset about being misled about a seriously addictive med.”

“Where to begin? I just moved from WA to OR (where my pain was being managed by my PCP). My meds were stopped 4 mos ago b/c my doc there told me he couldn't prescribe me me any b/c he didn't have a license in OR ? It took me a long time to find a pain mgmt doc that took my insurance. So, when I was referred to Dr. Michael, I didn't have a lot of faith in pain mgmt docs b/c I was afraid she would just throw meds at me & I was so wrong! I was told (or so I thought) my appt was at 2:20 when, in reality, it was at 1:20! I showed up at 2:00 (40 mins late) and, b/c I drove 2 hrs for my first appt, they worked me in! Then, during my appt, she didn't immediately jump into prescriptions... she actually took the time to talk & listen to me. I've had pain for as long as I could remember & she actually came up with some great ideas on how to manage it with PT, injections, possible spinal cord stimulator, etc. The last thing we discussed was meds. She covered ALL the bases & I couldn't be happier and more thankful! THANK YOU Dr. Michael, assistant Lisa and the rest of the office staff!”
