What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“She was rude and didn't introduce herself. I explained what was going on and basically told me that I'm too young to be in so much pain and that I needed to exercise. I told her that the dosage that I was in previously was working before it was decreased, and she acted like that there is no way I should be in excruciating pain. I do have my MMJ card and that helps relieve some of the pain, but she acted like what she decreased my meds to plus the medical marijuana should be enough to be somewhat comfortable. Like she acts like I could or should smoke pot all day but in reality I can't and don't because of my job and I have small children. Any insight on what to do or how to go about expressing how I feel when she didn't seem interested in what I had ti say because I'm to young to be in so much pain”

“The doctor herself told me if I ever need injections or whatever they're called to just walk in because you don't need an appt for that. Then after I walk in like I'm told I was told to wait an hr all for them to come back and say I have to have an appt. This is also not the first time they're not caring. I will not be back too many problems.”

“I would like to file a formal complaint regarding the doctor I saw today, a caucasian female physician, and Dr. Nisa Kahn APRN. Who seemed to be in cahootz with each other. I asked politely not to be seen by doctor Nisa because of her demeaning accusations the last time I was seen. She thinks all black people are drug addicts. Although my medication count was correct, I was accused of not having the medication in my system, (which is not true). But first I was told that they would lower my dosage because I am on Xanax. and that the hydrocodone was allegedly not in my system. I feel this is an unfair accusation that suggests I may be misusing or diverting my medication. Dr Nisa does not treat her patients with dignity and respect. And my original doctor knows I take xanax for anxiety and panic disorder I cannot help that. In this clinic, it seems that patients like myself are often accused of either not taking their medication or selling it--simply because we are black. My doctor has known for some time that I consistently take my prescribed medication, so why was I accused today. I strongly believe it is because of a harmful stereotype that Black people do not experience pain the same way as others, and they want to make us suffer. Those of us who are in pain. Today is my LAST visit. At a previous visit, I was accused of having THC in my system, something I had never even heard of until then. That accusation came shortly after I raised a complaint about this doctor's colleague, who I believe holds a personal grudge against me. It feels like staff here will go as far as lying, or changing my doctors repeatedly to undermine my care. I didnt even know THC was traces of marijuana. Baby I know people lie but I hate marijuana and have never had a desire for it after trying it as a teen. My doctor has been changed now for the 3rd time and today there is some random doing me and changing my dosage. When I have said I am in severe pain this doctor did not listen to me at all. Before these changes, I was on a good treatment plan and was making progress in my recovery waiting for back surgery. So not only did my doctor change again I am accused unfairly by a new doctor who does not listen to me about my pain. This is why I am filing this formal complaint. I strongly advise others not to seek treatment from this cliic, as they do not treat patients with fairness, dignity, or respect. Also this will be sent to the medical board for leaving me in severe pain is patient neglect. Donot go here go to pain treatment centers of America”

“They listen to my problems. It was a great honor to be in someone present that actually listen then to just tell me Wat would be best for me. I look forward to my appointment with the doctor. And thanks to the DR I seen yesterday to help me understand better ways of dealing with my pain. THANK YOU SO MUCH”
