What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“Update his cancer test came back positive for Papillary Thyroid carcinoma!!!! Helping my ex husband who is in the middle of his cancer diagnosis. Also he had paperwork that says he has narrowing of his cervical spine (stenosis,) and chronic anterior wedging of his thoracic spine right there in black and white. She says all this says your just have mild issues. He has no medical history of even seeing a doctor regularly. It had been several years without a doctor visit. No prescription history. He had his biopsy and we have looked at his scans his cancer has spread to other areas including his neck. She treated him like a drug addict and wants to do injections in his neck , after we told her were sure the cancer has spread there. He will most likely go to mental health for help because he is in so much pain and they are no help. I'm appalled at the unprofessionalism and judgmental attitude from this office. They don't have any of the facts or are interested in working with you while your gathering all your diagnosis which takes time. Before he could get a referral and was awaiting help his brother gave him a pain pill . His very first office visit he willingly gave them a urine sample. Because that pill was in his urine ( because he needed help with his pain) it gave her the right to judge and disrespect him. When his biopsy results come back positive in a few days and they will. Then what is he supposed to do, who will help him. Please read all the other negative reviews. This place needs investigated.”

“I have seen daycare centers that were run much better than this place! They are Rude, uncaring of me and very unprofessional. I have had countless problems with them and am perusing legal council against them presently as they put me in the hospital for 5 weeks due to using an un sterol instrument to perform a nerve ablation given by Lynn Puana who is not only NOT formally trained in pain management but was NOT qualified to to perform that procedure that put me in the hospital! Right after receiving the procedure, I started experiencing extreme pain so I tried calling them to see what I should do and I got a recording that said I had dialed a number that I had not dial, it didn't say, "if this is an emergency, please hang up and dial 911, like most other places do, it didn't say the name of the business, and then it said that the customer I had called has a mailbox that is FULL and that I CANNOT leave a message!!! I took a half a pain pill to try and dull the pain until I could get threw to these clowns and it took me 3 days before I actually got someone! I told her in a nice way that I was a little surprised that I couldn't leave a message for 3 days because their mailbox was full and Courtney, the office manager who answered, just went off on me! She kept talking over me and wouldn't allow me to say anything and told me that they were not going to give me an early refill and then said that they were not going to give me another refill period! When I got out of the hospital that they put me in, I had a registered letter informing me that I was no longer welcome there anymore! They also caused me to be on pain medication for many months longer than I should have due to the fact that they were short handed due to Dr. Rudolf Puana having to leave the clinic because he got caught dealing fentanyl patches. I would like to hit them with a class action suit so please let me know if you would like to as well. Stay away from this place!!”

“The office is in a very old house, but it is fixed up very cute and it is clean. The people at the desk are polite and efficient. The PAs that I have seen have been both professional and personable. I very much appreciate the way, according to my wishes, my health issues are being treated in a minimally invasive manner, both as far as drugs and procedures go.”

“I would not recommend this pain clinic, however, its only one of two on the island of Hawaii in the Hawaiian chain. I was not able to get an appointment booked in a timely manor. Additionally, I was booked to have a simple epidural injection, which was scheduled one month out, one week prior to my scheduled appointment, I received a phone call from the office staff informing that the procedure is canceled and needed to be rescheduled for one month out; the reason given for the schedule change is as follows: a piece of equipment needed for the procedure has not yet arrived at the clinic. My question is why schedule patients for procedures, that could alleviate discomfort, if the clinic is not properly equipped to perform procedures? My best advise is to seek a pain clinic on neighboring island or on the main land, provided that this option is not cost prohibitive. Best of luck to you all, you'll need it with this group. The one star rating is giving because in order to post this review a selection had to be made.”
