Patient Testimonials

My experience with Dr. Batlivala has been very positive. He seems to truly care about helping me deal with my chronic back pain. At first I was a bit put off by his style, but by the second visit I got a much warmer feeling about him and that he really wanted to help me with managing my pain. We had a good laugh about the fact we we were both wearing denim, and at that point I really understood that he was really on my side. We reviewed my MRI scan together and we discussed options to alleviate my symptoms so that I could enjoy a more pain free lifestyle. I could not feel any more comfortable with "Dr. B"

If I could I would give him a zero. I went to him for help with my CRPS which I've had for many years. I also was born with bilateral pes cavus of the feet. The man was quite curt, rather rude,I could not get a word in. He was more interested in my back that does not bother me. Then wanted me to take Lyrica which I explained I cannot take. It's been tried before. He insisted I could still take it. Told me I need an mri of my back? And to return to see his nurse. That was it my appt. It ended so abruptly. He never even noticed I have no pedal pulse, my toes on my right foot are curling under. I couldn't say anything! And by the way Lyrica ended me up in a psych ward due to suicidal thoughts. Where did this man go to school? Is it my mind or does he just treat women like this? Just my thoughts. I will not be going near New Hampshire Nuero Spine Institute or Dr. Batlivala again.

I did not have a good experience. I waited from 11:25am until 12:45pm to see the doctor. My appointment was at 12pm, I was asked to be early for xrays. No one even acknowledged the delay. The nurse was very friendly and thorough, but Dr Batlivala was a huge disappointment. The nurse spent more time with me than he did. His bedside manner is terrible. He barely greeted me, never smiled, and hardly even made eye contact. His questions seemed like more of an interrogation than like he wanted to get to know me/help me. He kept asking why I was there, and what I wanted from him (which felt very weird and made me uncomfortable). I have issues with my back, and also autoimmune and neurological disorders. I was recently diagnosed with SFN, and also have lupus. I suffer from back pain and nerve pain and migraine headaches. I have seen several specialists and very much wanted to consolidate care. I read everything on the website. I was so hopeful that I had found a place that could treat me, and a place where providers would work together on a treatment plan. I told Dr Batlivala that and he told me that is unrealistic, and that doctors don't have time to talk to eachother (maybe he needs to spend time on the website). He barely examined me. He didn't even ask me to come back. I waited months for this appointment, hoping to meet a provider who could help. I hoped to find a practice that would treat me as a whole person (and offer something besides pills). I was crying by the time I made it back to the elevator. Very disheartened by the lack of care and compassion.
