“My experience with the Pain Center was quite negative, not so much because of the clinic but because the BI system is in disarray. After waiting a few weeks for an appointment, I saw a doctor for all of 5 minutes. She asked me a few questions and decided we needed to do an MRI as the next step. (For this, they charged my insurance over $500.) Rather than setting up my MRI appointment, they gave me a phone number to call and sent me on my way. Over the following 10 days, I called that number well over a dozen times. No one ever answered. Every time but once, I was shunted to a voicemail box that was full, followed by a hang-up. Exactly one time, I got to the voicemail box and left a careful message. A month has passed. I never heard back. Fortunately for me, my pain has mostly resolved, from massage, stretching, and careful exercise. The pain is noticeable but not debilitating, and I plan to go to another clinic. BI needs to get its act together. I strongly recommend going elsewhere.”

“We first visited in early June and given an appointment for July 22 for epidural procedure, today. There were no instructions given, only the time. When we arrived today we were informed by the doctor that they could not perform the procedure since my husband had never been informed that one of his medicines had to be stopped for three days before the procedure. They couldn't give us another date only suggested going on the wait list. There was no apology for the lack of communication or attempt to correct their lack of communication. It was highly unprofessional. I would not ever return”

“The recent opioid law and provisions really only hurts cancer and chronic pain patients. My dad had a total laryngectomy, 6 rounds of radiation and has to do 6 more again it's been 2 weeks since his surgery its bad. 3-6 weeks frim surgery he starts radiation again. They offered him antidepressants and gave him a speech about heroin treated him like addict, note hes sick very sick hole in throat now and is a mess no longer has a voice box. They don't care and are too afraid to help sad really because idk how much time left I will have him. And he's suffered the entire time. Choking on water and jello unable to breathe literally dying and he asked for 10mg of oxycodon he's 62. It's all he knows that works for him. They said that's way to much you would overdose. I will not rant too long because I get it. It's not really the doctor it's the state threating doctor's with prison and losing power They got mad at him because he's dying sums it up. I love my Dad more than anyone and I will get him what he needs everytime legally or illegaly I don't care anymore as long as it's a older friend with a prescription I'll pay double the price to be safe and oddly they care more than pain clinics some great people gave me 1000mg in 15mg tablets they had from a knee replacement surgery surgery he wouldn't take money and knew my dad from union work 40 years. I thank God for him seeing my dad get some sleep and relief was the first time i felt happy in 4years of hell. If I was rich I'd sue every person who denied him for punitive damages and lastly screw mass govt i hope your family never has to deal with this oh wait they wont you know the right people you get pain medicine must be nice”

“Completely unprofessional. I have to schedule my appointments every 3 months because I have to get shots for pains and they had the audacity to cancel my appointment WITHOUT calling me. I have been coming here for 2 years. The lady could not even find me in the system. I stood waiting for over 10 minutes just to be told somebody had cancelled my appointment a few days ago. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THERE'S PEOPLE IN SERIOUS PAIN EVERYDAY AND THAT IS WHY WE HAVE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT? I am very frustrated, this is unacceptable and extremely rude that this is the treatment I am receiving. People think because someone is not over the age of 50 that cancelling their appointments without calling the patient is acceptable. IT IS NOT. And now I am forced to wait a WHOLE MONTH for a new appointment. Train your staff or just shut down the department.”
