Patient Testimonials

I don't like giving bad reviews but I do when they're warranted. I was hopeful that I would finally get relief from my back issues here. I did not. I saw someone named Ryan at the outset. I don't know who he is, what credentials he has or doesn't have, if he's a NP or something else. That would have been helpful to know. However, he was incredibly dismissive, and guess what? He was wrong. He told me what I needed, and it was incorrect. I had the procedure, it didn't work, and they told me they can't do anything for me. Wrong answer. First, Ryan was dismissive and abrupt. It was clear he didn't want to be there. He ended the office visit after a few minutes. What I didn't know was there was no anesthesia for my procedure and it hurt like hell! (Some other places do have anesthesia, I checked). I saw an orthopedist today because my family doctor had given me the referral to Mercy Pain Center. The orthopedist took one look at my x-ray and told me immediately what the problem was and what was causing my pain. He told me that the Pain Center gave me the wrong procedure and that I should have had something else. He's referring me somewhere else so I can finally get the relief I've been looking for. And they have anesthesia! I had high expectations for this place. I was incredibly disappointed. Why I was given the wrong procedure I'll never know. I'm not happy, and I'm not recommending this place to anyone.

I was referred by Spectrum Orthaepedics. Initial consult in October was not pleasant. I was in a car accident last year and had a neck injury. I was hoping to get a procedure that would give me relief from the constant pain. The woman I saw was abrasive and somewhat dismissive of my condition. I had an MRI and other scans that clearly showed inflammation. She made several comments to me that I felt were not appropriate. She did tell me that the procedure could be done by the end of the year. I should expect a phone call within a few weeks to schedule. Five weeks passed and no call. I called them yesterday and got the run around. Told me the authorization takes time. I asked when it was submitted. They wouldn't tell me. Now the procedure can't be done until January. At the time of the visit, I stated that I met my deductible for the year and was hoping this could be completed before January. I was told that it could. I immediately called my insurance company after my call with them. They stated that the authorization was submitted yesterday, not five weeks ago. They lied. They only submitted it after I had called to inquire about the delay in contacting me. I called back to cancel the procedure. I will be going elsewhere. What an absolutely horrible experience. Update: 12/9. In response to your reply to this post, I did call the office four days ago and spoke to your office manager. She had nothing to offer other than an appointment for January. New year, out of pocket expense. This practice is lacking in many areas. They failed miserably in the follow up regarding the initial consultation and the PA was not someone I would want to work with again. The fact that they lied to me about the authorization speaks volumes. Why not just tell me the truth? I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

Dr. Ryan Trosper and his team are the best. Honestly, I've been dealing with neuropathy pain for 15 years and I'm only 31 years old. I came in and his team was so pleasant. I didn't have high hopes for coming in since I had been to what felt like a ton of doctors but he listened, he felt like he cared, and he actually set me up with something that finally, FINALLY, gave me relief. Also, all of the ladies at the front and back desks are always so nice. I actually really like coming to this office, they truly are the VIPs!

Nice place and was easy to find for me . Nobody was rude staff and doctor were nice but they couldn't do much for me except offer trigger point injections. And ask me why I'm a thin small framed guy . I've always been slim in a healthy way . Then the doctor said I was lucky I got pain managment from my doctor . Seems like my primary doctor did better pain management then what mercy offered.if I did the trigger point injections it be every month pretty much . And there's twenty symptoms to what they wanted to inject me with so I called my doctor and explained why I didn't want to go thru that she agreed with me . Mercy tries to be nice but in the end they really couldn't do anything for me . Except wanting to inject me with dexamethasone side effects are as bad as anabolic steriods.
