“I'm literally at a loss for words (rare for me) regarding how incredible this group is. From the front desk, to triage groups to the nurses and physicians are all A+++. I have lived with extreme chronic pain since I was around 15 years old and have had so many surgeries I've lost count. Dr's Tivnan & Wise are doing everything and anything to help me avoid more surgery. I can not thank them enough for the relief I receive. For the people who complain about the pain after (of course it's going to be uncomfortable) but the rewards most times are so worth it. The doctors always listen to me and I trust their decisions on the appropriate direction to take. There is no other place I would ever consider going and refer so many friends here. Thank you to the entire office for making me feel like the only person who you treat in a busy environment. You truly are all caring and compassionate individuals and I'm forever grateful.”

“They are fast, friendly, and the shots are for the most part effective. The doctors don't say that the shots will do more than they do.”

“These guys have made a HUGE difference in my life! I'm only 44, but I came down with a chronic pain issue. It is a very outside the box type of muscular condition. I have seen literally 18 doctors over the last 4 years, and pretty much all of them tried to convince me that their thing would cure me. They were happy to collect the money even though they NEVER delivered results. Just before going to Northeast Pain Management I went to Northern Light and unfortunately had a horrible experience in their clinic as well. They treated trigger point injections as if it were major surgery. Put me in a damn gown with a hair net and the like and put me in a room with like 20 other people separated by sheets. And they would only inject me with preset amount and wouldn't go over their predetermined limit, so basically half my body was left untreated. And when I was still in pain later, and I called there was zero responsiveness. They left me in pain, and when I complained, they tried to send me to a Boston clinic. Really? You want me to drive to Boston while in life altering pain?! Annnyway, the point of this review was not to talk trash about Northern Light or the other doctors I have had trouble with. The point is that these guys are an oasis in a desert. The doctor I see most often is Dr. Tivnan, and he is fantastic. Super personable. Treats you like a human being. Really listens. Treats you on the spot. Gets all the areas. And I always walk away feeling better and with a substantial reduction in my pain. I really feel like it's been a collaboration. I mean, I'm no doctor, but I've tried like 20 whatever treatments, so that's probably important info right? You'd be surprised how many doctors never even want to take in that information and just want to condescend to you and put you in your place. The culture here is different. Like I said, Dr. Tivnan is just plain awesome. But I have seen other doctors as well. Sorry I'm forgetting names! But they were good as well. It's the culture there. You feel it when you walk in the door. And honestly from the administrators at the front desk, to the nurses that prep you for the exams, to the doctors that do the consultations, to the doctors that do the actual procedures you always feel respected and cared about. I would recommend this place to anyone. They have made all the difference in my life. Thank you Dr. Tivnan! And thank you Northeast Pain Management!”

“Went for my first appointment after driving 2 hrs to get there...they hit me with $2000 deposit. I have a job in health care and insurance. My understanding is here in maine you need to tell people what the bill is going to be. I paid my copay never recieved a bill. Went back for follow up they still insist on getting deposit. I had enough...this sounds like not healthcare.”
