Dr. Shah is a dedicated and competent professional. she is committed to understanding and addressing her patients needs and meeting them where they are as she knows we know our bodies best. She is both smart and engaged and that can make a significant difference of care one receives.

Assessed me for less than 2 minutes, recommended an injection for my neck pain, and was making moves to schedule it. However, she'd not adequately explained about the injection. I had to ask what level she wanted to inject. She told me 2 different levels, and one of them was where I had a fusion already, so it was a very unlikely source of pain. I questioned it. The whole reason I was referred to her was for a diagnostic injection, to confirm the level causing the pain before moving to surgery. Her answer was "standard protocol." You're picking a fused level based on "protocol"? I asked her to help me understand that. Instead she took injection off the table and suggest pills instead. (Gabentin, a heavy-duty nerve pain pill, or flexoril, a strong muscle relaxer - neither of which were indicated based on my intensity of symptoms. I declined.) Finally, she suggested physical therapy, which I'd already done. This was a big waste of time and money. Zero confidence in this doctor, with her cookie-cutter approach and inability to support her own recommendation with a clinical rationale.

Dr. Shah is delightful and happy to be able to help with her knowledge. She's bettering herself by learning about the process of implants tens devices. She's positive and kind.
