“First time visit. In room, was taken for an x-ray, saw doctor go into another room with patient. Returned from x-ray. Sat for 10 to 15 minutes. Dr came in sat, crossed his legs, was reading medical record asked one question, are you here about your back. When answered and tried to explain pain he cut me off saying something about another issue he saw in my chart having nothing to do with y I was there. Then said "you're allergic to prednisone" said there is nothing I can do for you, got up and walked out. He was with me less than 5 minutes, which has been the same with the other doctors. I'm in excruciating pain, have been for over a year, being passed to over 5 different doctor and not 1 has helped me. I did research to find out possibly why, and came across something that said white doctors treat black patients differently. Now I wonder if this is true because I have never been to a black doctor. At this visit, I was treated as if I wasn't even there. I had a bill an didn't want to pay it because of this, but I finally decided to pay for the poor service I received. I don't seek out color because it's blind to me, but the article gave me something to think about.”
